When we made the call about our clog we were told the service rep was at another job in Wind Gap and it would take about 1 or 2 hours for him to come to check out our problem. He arrived in less than 2 hrs. and promptly checked the system. He did find a clog and unclogged it as best he could but told us we needed to contact a plumber to do a roto-rooter cleaning. We are very happy with Kratzer Septic. We have contacted them before and have received prompt, courteous and professional service every time. We will definitely continue to call them whenever we have a septic system problem. THANK YOU KRATZER SEPTIC SERVICE!
Kratzer sent me a notice that it was time to empty the septic tank. I called and setup a date. The day before service I received a call with my appointment time window. The driver was there at the earliest time in the window. Very professional service, from start to finish. I would highly recommend their service. A++
I am so glad that I contacted Kratzer septic service when we started having issues with our septic. First, I have to give a huge shout out to Becky. Having her there to guide us through the process made this situation so much better. It is obvious that she cares about her customers - when our septic wasn’t working properly right before Memorial Day she has someone come out the SAME DAY to pump it because she didn’t want us to have to go the whole long weekend before getting service. It always felt like I was talking to a friend who was doing everything possible to help us out. She was so responsive- answering our questions and emails thoroughly- usually within the hour and she arranged to have the entire (extensive) repair completed in a few days- from getting permits to the job being done! I thought it would take weeks. Becky even helped us navigate the process of getting the permit so that we could have the septic fixed as soon as possible. It is rare to get this level of genuine care.We were also happy with the value and quality of the service. The cost of everything was explained ahead of time and we never got any unexpected additional costs. If anything, I felt like everyone at Kratzer was looking out for us- trying to get things fixed for the most reasonable cost possible. They understand what a huge unexpected hassle and cost a broken septic system is- and they NEVER exploited our urgent need by charging us extra to get the job done so quickly, or talking us into buying additional services. They did it quickly at zero extra cost. I feel like this is rare. This whole ordeal really could have been a nightmare if we didn't have the guidance and professional service we got from Kratzer. Thank you all so much!
I'd like to start by saying I'm not one who typically posts reviews. Nor was I asked to do so as is often the case. For me, this called for a review.I recently had an experience where I had an activation of the Tank Alert alarm for my septic system. Needless to say I immediately envisioned horrific things coming my way if you know what I mean. That said, I have the system cleaned and serviced regularly, I've never had a septic problem nor have I ever experienced an activation of my septic system alarm.Although I wasn't a current Kratzer Septic Service customer, I called based upon the recommendation of two friends who are in the Well drilling and plumbing business. I called Kratzer and spoke with Becky. Becky was aware that I wasn't a past or current customer and stated that they were totally booked. She proceeded to say that regardless of me not being a customer, she didn't want to see anyone in that situation and would do all she could to move some appointments and get someone to my home as soon as possible. After just a few minutes she called back and said she would have a technician to my home in an hour! It got even more impressive from there. Technician Brian responded shortly thereafter and proceeded to check all the septic breakers, the three septic alarm systems as well as my four separate tanks (large home, large system). Soon thereafter, he ultimately diagnosed the problem and began to make the repairs.During the course of those repairs, I suggested replacing one of the tank pumps (given that the age of the pump was unknown) as well as a upgrading to a larger aerator in another tank. Brian said they were functioning as needed and would merely be unnecessary expenses. The fact that he didn't take advantage to "up-sell" me on was appreciated. He then proceeded to clean and service my entire system, make the necessary repairs and re-set and double check the breakers and alarms located in my basement. Lastly, he gave me a rundown on my system and educated me on what to do in the event I encounter another "septic emergency".I cannot say enough good things about Becky and Brian and how they stepped up to the plate for a non-customer. I later spoke with the friends who recommended Kratzer and they weren't surprised at all. They said it's a family business that's "been around forever" with a reputation for quality service. I'm now a Kratzer customer and would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone.
Highly recommend Kratzer. They took time to explain my options and answer a lot of questions about a complex septic repair. Their prices were very competitive and the quality of their work excellent. They have exceptional customer service both in their administration and service delivery. They completed a complex job efficiently and kept me posted on what they found and how the job was progressing. As a courtesy they provided extra grading to reduce the steepness of the septic mound, and they also shortened a septic pipe (unrelated to the current repair) to ground level that was sticking a foot above our lawn. Total cost came in less than estimated, with the estimate beating competitors to begin with! Will definitely be using them for all my future septic needs.
I recently changed my septic provider to Kratzer and, from start to finish, their service was impeccable. I needed my septic pumped as well as some minor repairs. Customer service was top notch, very personable, professional, positive, and worked with me to ensure my appointments were scheduled to my specific needs. The technicians that completed the work were courteous, experienced, efficient, and were able to answer all my questions while providing very sound advice. I will continue to use this business for all my septic needs and will recommend them to whoever is looking for high quality septic services.
Kratzer did my sceptic service. While they had the tank lids dug up, I had them install extensions so that we would not have to "dig" ever again. They did a great job, were on time, and special thanks to Jeremy for doing a great job of putting my lawn back together. I recommend Kratzer.
Fantastic experience. Dug out my septic lids that were 3+ feet down in the earth after discovering that the septic system was not installed correctly to code. Needed help finding the other lid- Tony came out and helped me find it- awesome guy.Customer service from Becky and Stacy was off the charts- they even sent me a diagram to help me try to find the other lid. Very positive experience due to exceptional customer service.P.S. I bought the risers to get the lids up to grade and Damon (the installer) was very professional and efficient. Another positive experience from Kratzer.Highly recommend.
I've used Kratzer for all my septic system maintenance (tank pumping, baffle repair & tank lid replacement in 2018, tank pumping in 2021). Very professional office staff and drivers. Someone always answers the phone when I call and is willing to answer my questions. Also a modern company with regards to billing, payment and receipts (all available via email). Would definitely recommend.
Kratzer came out and installed a new leech field pumping station after the old one caught on fire. They were extremely prompt, professional, and their pricing was fair for the excellent quality they provided. I would recommend them to anyone needing septic services big or small.
Not only did they schedule you me right in shortly after me submitting a request, but they came in and did an excellent job and went beyond their way to do more by clearing out a clogged portal. I am thankful for their services and happy to see that there are companies out here that still dedicate themselves to thier customers!! I would hands down recommend this place to anyone looking for professional work!
Great and courteous service.. A special thank you to Becky for managing the process smoothly and problem free..
I can not say enough about how great this company was to work with. The staff was so nice and helpful and the price was great.
I would highly recommend Kratzer. Becky was great to work with. She answered all my questions via email and scheduled my appt. Tim the driver was very friendly and helpful. I will use Kratzer for all my septic needs.
Had an emergency pump situation and they came out within a few hours to help, mind you we live in Schnecksville and they were coming from Bath. The lady I spoke with (Becky) was very kind and understanding of our situation and pulled strings to help us take care of our problem today!! The gentleman who showed up to pump our tank was very kind and courteous, he explained to us what he was doing and was fast but thorough. Not to mention the price was just as they said it would be, which was lower than some quotes in the area. I would definitely recommend Kratzer again to anyone looking to have their septic issues taken care of promptly, and affordably by kind and courteous people. We will also only be calling them in the future with any of our septic needs! Thanks Kratzer Septic Service!! Review by: (Karen Ziegler-Bliss)
